The foundation's income is used to support development projects, mainly in Ethiopia. The capital is spent in accordance with the objectives of the Desta Foundation.

 

The foundation does not aim to make a profit. The foundation does maintain a healthy buffer to absorb disappointing income. In addition, the foundation reserves money to develop and set up new activities.
